Traveling to Provonce to shoot the lavender fields was an amazing experience. The aroma saturated my clothes and suite case for several weeks after the shoot was over. The fields never seemed to end. After visiting an uncountable number of fields I decided on this field because it met everything I had in mind; mountains, fog, a perfect tree that was in a shape of a heart, and an amazing sun rise with clouds after a storm. After returning to the site three days in a row, I started to panic and thought I would not get the shot due to the heavy winds and stormy weather. The wind made it difficult to capture the details I was looking for. On the last day when my plane was scheduled to leave I arrived to the site a 4:00 AM. I waited for the sun to rise. The ground was wet from a violent thunderstorm the night before. As the sun began to rise it illuminated the fields and sky with pink and magenta hues giving a dream like feeling on the last day of shooting.
